Terrorism concerns force race shift on Golden Gate Bridge
the San Francisco marathon will have to stay on the sidewalk of the bridge because of fears that a terrorist may drive into the runners. If you look at the photos of races past, there seem to be a fair number of runners so I suspect that cramming them all onto the sidewalk, which is far narrower than the roadway, will make for a crowded unpleasant race

I got confused about this one
A whole bunch of sports have got together and agreed to hold their European championships at the same time and (two) places, European Championships (multi-sport event)
evidently Not to be confused with the European Games which sounds exactly the same

There has been a couple of nice races today like the 10K women, or the 400m women finals. Did you watch it?

He was not the Ingebrigtsen expected by most to win that race... Filip ran a 3:30.01 three weeks ago, beating his younger brother by more than a second. For the statisticians out there, is it a first to have three brothers in a final in a (relatively) major championship race?

And the youngest brother also won the 5000m final just now.  Awesome!

With a silver medal to the oldest, who had pretty much been sidelined with injuries the last two years. Filip was also qualified for the final, but did not run on account of having fractured a rib when he fell in the qualifying round for the 1500. As he told Norwegian media: it hurts to breathe, and on the 5000 you kind of need to breathe.
