a good laugh here.  :)

But while you are worried about perishing inside The Wicker Man, I am watching some big boats heading my way.

Itajai, Brazil to Newport, RI - Leg 8 of the Volvo Ocean Race

If you love that footage - longer format here: April 22 start - they should arrive around May 9-10, depending on wind and weather conditions.

national hoagie day
that one sounds like it should be a regional holiday, not national
and there should be days for the spukie, grinder, hero, and whatever else you call a hoagie in your particular neck of the woods

Hardly recovering from yesterday's National Orange Juice day, and you're already celebrating with your hoagie mates? Hard partying.

Tomorrow 3 years ago we went to a off-Broadway Joyce show; it lasted from 7 pm to 12.30 am with only a 10 minute break for water. The whole of NYC amateur dramatic society it seems got their chance to strut and fret their hour upon the stage. And then is heard no more.

So, I was sitting for 5 hours watching these strutters while fretting about a sports injury. (sciatica). Except it lasted 5 hours, not 1.

Like Alex in Clockwork Orange, I was cured.
I once subjected Junior to a 2-hour Mr. Bloom monologue interior in Sweney's chemists.

It took Monty Python about thirty years before Americans discovered them, by which time the rest of us had moved on. There'll be a hologram Ken Dodd show Off Broadway in around 2050. You'll see.
