Exactly -- Patrick McGoohan was one of Peter Falk's favorites on Columbo. I have watched my "complete Columbo collection" several times (highly recommended). Off the top of my head, I'd say 6-8 episodes either starred McGoohan or had McGoohan as the director. Two geniuses at work!

Patrick McGoohan produced the Prisoner Series on TV in the mid-60s. It has cult status. As 15-year old I used to watch it every Friday. The last episode ended very abruptly.

Can't remember the last show at which I saw him live. I was hoping to see him at this event, good review, but he had to cancel.  Well, Chuck Berry was good -- I still remember that show. Unfortunately, the annual Hootenanny fest is long defunct. Here's what it looked like:
