Thank you. She is indeed very smart. Her name is Noether, after Emmy Noether.

I thought it was named after the influential Michelson-Morley experiment that failed to detect the motion of Earth through some aether.

Indeed! At first I thought "if the cat were really smart, she'd know how to use the mouse to get more birdie videos" but then I realized she's even smarter than that because she delegated the mouse work to a minion!

She can choose games on a tablet though. She's also learnt that if she touches the screen, which she used to do a lot, the video will stop - that's why she's so civilised in front of the screen. It's a pity that they don't like going out so much - my friend has a cat who walks on a leash like a dog.

OK, I will shut up for now. I know how I sound - like an old crazy cat lady.
There's nothing crazy in it all. Crazy (or pathetic) is what I call people who can't stand others finding enjoyment in their lives.

Anyway, you could make a metric buttload of cash from creating catapps -- games that encourage a cat to paw at the screen and have the visual objects react in ways the spur further pawing.

Invalids, orphans, widows, or waifs... but I'd never take money from a cat.
