Ladies and gents, meet Leela of Cairo
She's been rescued from the street by my Egyptian kindred spirits, who continue to fight for introducing humane street animal control in their country (like sterilisation instead of this).
Her mother and siblings were killed on the spot or didn't recover from the primitives' cruelty. She was the lucky one and only has her eye damaged. The streets of big Egyptian cities were always full of stray dogs and cats. The Egyptians generally don't keep them as pets (I know that Turks did as my great-great grandma had a pet dog in the harem in Egypt ruled by the Ottoman Empire).
The funny part of the story is that I foresaw Leela, as ISayMoo can confirm. Long ago I had a dream that I'm getting a cat with one eye (I haven't seen the cat in my dream). Later I had another dream about the cat looking like her (white nose with grey-cream patches around and at the back), but I didn't see the damaged eye - I described her to ISayMoo, but amended the prediction about the eye. That's because the eye looks almost normal.
