The Return of Lost Wilmotters

September 1st, 2015, 12:46 pm

Whether it could be a return of lost Wilmotters or a welcome to new ones, any gathering place needs regular renewal and fresh ideas to keep from becoming stagnant.Think about hybrid vigor, always exploring and trying new combinations, as opposed to too much cultural inbreeding. For some time, the OT has basically been a cross between People Magazine and the National Inquirer. You can argue for free speech - fine, but diversity is healthy too. Most people would tire of a forum that was only composed of arcane philosophy and post modern art too.Who knows what will happen next, but the recent twists and turns that have occurred seem unfortunate to me. This is a marsh:This is a swamp:Both have some foliage and forms of life, but which habitat do you prefer?

Some people could not take all the new technology, likely the same type of people that refused to move from Black and White TV to TV with color!
