Robert Durst, convicted murderer of Susan Berman, dead at age 78 with covid (and co-morbidities).
He was widely suspected of killing his first wife, Kathleen Durst. Susan later came to realize that, and this was prosecution's theory of why he murdered her -- in advance of her possible questioning in a reopening of that first case. The whole tragic mess, which includes a *third* killing by Durst, was quite fascinating to follow -- which I did.

Coincidentally, was watching an old 1991 flick yesterday ("Bugsey", played by Warren Beatty) about, among other things, the development of Las Vegas out of nothing by the prescient mob, in particular the Flamingo hotel. After Bugsey Seigel was murdered, another mobster, "Davie" Berman, took over the Flamingo. Davie Berman was Susan Berman's father.

I’m pretty sure it’s Siegel. Aside from that, definitely a mess, but maybe not so tragic. One of those “what comes around goes around” stories. Sadly, no Trump shared in this particular journey to the Netherworld.

Yeah, my bad, it's Bugsy Siegel.

Anyway, if you like a good real-life courtroom drama, it's all on youtube. However, I recommend watching the earlier HBO show, "The Jinx" first. That show got me into the case, and it plays a big role in the trial.

Well, [$] min_t \{ N(t) = 1 \} = 97 [$] is pretty respectable!

Weber Grills Apologizes for Timing of Meatloaf Recipe Email

The outdoor grill maker apologized on Friday for sending a recipe-of-the-week email earlier that day featuring instructions on how to prepare “BBQ Meat Loaf.”
The email coincided with news of the death of Marvin Lee Aday, best known as rock superstar Meat Loaf.

What happened? How old was he? Late fifties? He always seemed to be 25 years old.
