I forgot about Paul’s question, and did this brief yet frantic search on what happened to Pamela Anderson. Having now been temporarily reassured, I still can’t quite come up with an honest answer of my own.   Will ponder it further.

It looks to me you're getting closer to qualifying for a French passport. Seeking a brand new life?

Some cultural difference remain
In the mid-1970s the company tried to persuade the French to buy its electric kettles, but they still preferred to boil water with saucepans. They did so for the next twenty years since French people have a liking for black coffee which is prepared differently from tea. The use of electric kettles across Europe was sporadic.

It is funny you're mentioning this electic kettle anectode now. In fact, I refuse to have an (electric == normal) coffee machine and ordered the lovely surrogate below this very morning!

I was once the dance partner of the heiress to the Morphy Richards kitchen-appliance fortune. Not so much as a free waffle maker did I get.

MR was taken over by Glenn Dimplex, founded by Martin Naughton from Co, Louth and who attended (like moi) De La Salle school Dundalk. He basically cornered that market.

We used to have a judo teacher called Murphy, he used to make joke about 24" MR TVs.

Was her name "Naughtan"?

I used to get private lessons in Italian from a signora together with Freddy Heineken' heiress. Her (the student, not the teacher) Italian was excellent, and I told her so on several occasions.

Seriously, if David Gilmore goes is like my life support gets turned off. I played The Division Bells in my head in the most crucial moments of my life. Will it work without David out there?

Look at 5:42. There's no sexier man in this world than David playing the guitar. If I die first, I want to return as a tsukumogami of his guitar.

She was my favourite presenter of Blue Peter in 1962.
