I came back home at 2 am today. Dropped my bags and went straight to the kitchen to feed them, but they ignored the food. They kept sitting on the table, staring at me, my boy cat with his amorous "smile". They waited to be hugged first :-D
we have the same with our neighbour's cat Clyde (he's Scottish) when it wants food.It first waits until you give him  a pat.

How long have these rumours been fermenting?

Don't suppose you could drop down to the local store and pick up a couple packs. I like it with my 4 o clock tea.

Your timing is funny - all the way across the Atlantic.  I just discovered that my car battery is dead - left the lights on over night. And for those rolling their eyes - it is the first time I have ever done that, but there must be some kind of jinx right now - I have locked my keys in my car twice in the past two weeks too.  I guess Alzheimer's is setting in. : ) Or maybe we just get forgetful in such wintery isolation; trying to be more mindful now.

In any case, I am in the mood for tea, for sure!
Also enjoying music from my father's era. This song alone inspired me to take dance classes years ago.

It actually makes my back hurt to watch that, but they are obviously quite tough and can handle it.

BTW - if you are curious about the YouTube functionality on the forum - look up into the little bar above the writing space when you are posting next time and see on the far right - there is a red square with a white arrow inside.  This is for inline YouTube videos.  It used to work, then it didn't for a while and now it does again!

Demo: another one of my favorite car videos - this one is floating around in the desert out west. Nice drifty music too.

Thanks again, admin. If I had a car like this one, I'd invite you take it out for a spin in the Cotswolds.

No, it's not painful. The guy on the right is my trainer.
Not so long ago we did this set 5 times each Saturday afternoon. I was throwing :-)

I wonder when I can start again.

Very cool and I'm sure with the right technique it is good.

But it does require Trust in the one who will be doing the throwing!

**

On getting back to "normal" life and the things we used to enjoy up to just one year ago - I am taking a kind of three-tiered approach now:

1) Somehow Corona truly fades away and it's totally fine to go back to the gym, cafes, parties, (and airplanes)! Horse trekking in Ireland is #1 on the list!
2) It abates from where it is now, but lingers on and precautions are still necessary - so picking and choosing what to do - when is the risk worth it? When not? But not just sitting way out here in the castle with the drawbridge up.
3) It keeps on mutating and gets worse over time. Good thing the castle is pretty nice and I have been hoarding books, music, art supplies, fabric, yarn, food,... for years. : )

In any case, kind of useful to think it through like this, with adaptive attitude, so no matter what happens, will just keep rolling along.

For each of the 12 throws there are about 6 things to do right. Otherwise it's a mess.  So, 72 things to do right.

I wouldn't trust anyone to get 72 things right - especially not in a small chunk of time.

If I get even a handful of things right on any given day, that is a miracle. : D

I will work on yoga and swing dancing - then 72^n things to get right x 365!

Now it is almost 3 pm and time for tea here. Darjeeling today with cherry almond scones.
