Quant dev recruiting activity

September 3rd, 2018, 12:19 pm

I know this is a generic question, but how active is the job market in quantitative development around London?
I don't get as many recruiter calls as I did a month or so ago where I got them continuously, almost every day (I was employed then).
I'd be interested if anyone can give me a feel for how active the job market is, and the prospects for the near future.
Are there seasonal effects in recruiting such that the time period within the year is highly significant?
I've been doing this for ten years or so so I'm looking for a position which is senior or at least not junior.
Thank you.

There are seasonal patterns. Wait until the bonuses are announced and the musical chairs game beings.

(You ought to know this after 10 years in the industry :P)
