Dear Lord, this chick is smoking hot. She is as hot as the chick whom Charlie Sheen nearly banged a couple of days ago, but the loser forgot to keep $12 K cash ready in advance.

I mean, if you have to spend 12 hours a day at a workplace, would you rather be surrounded by quants or by those superhot girls at the ad agencies on Madison Avenue.Quants are overwhelming male (90+% male), but there are parts of the IB that are overwhelming female (HR and secretarial support) (90%+ female). Also there are rather large numbers of women in trade support, model validation, risk, and mergers and acquisitions, and a pretty steady stream of college interns. So the trading floor is probably 40% female. The other thing is that the art of sales is merely a form of seduction. So women in IB's tend to be very good at social skills, which means looking "professionally attractive."

QuoteOriginally posted by: KackToodlesQuotebtw, if she got a job at an IB, this means she probably has a degree from a highly selective university too. Well that's one thing she didn't have. She did however have prior trading experience in FX and commodities though.Probably this and mainly her looks swayed the trading boss' mind (who was one of those staid englishmen in his late 50's). In fact during the time while I was at Salomon there were super hot blond bombshells (and superlative black haired ones!) being hired who did not possess all star academics but nevertheless got pretty good jobs on the trade floor. It just goes to show that getting a job has a lot to do just purely on whether you boss likes (the look of) you. Twofish is quite right in this regard.

Just as I thought: special brainy skills are NOT necessary to succeed in trading because boss would risk losing his own job if he hired a bunch of people who could not do their jobs.

But it begs the question of how she got the trading gig in the first place??No need for names, just show us her workOK - she indeed worked for the above (from what I've gathered there was some disclosure agreement between her and the bank when she left which is why the press descriptions of her don't mention her time at the then newly formed citigroup). Don't know if this is allowable but here goes (I don't wish my posts to become too sordid in nature! ): http://www.monicamayhem.com/did you shag her?

Don't know if this is allowable but here goes (I don't wish my posts to become too sordid in nature! ): http://www.monicamayhem.com/did you shag her?Actually I'm an advocate for not engaging in office flings.I only engage in intercourse at the verbal level.I can only forsee problems if you get it on with co-workers.After all how could you you look your co-worker in the eye the next morning at work after b***ing her (or him) all through the night before? I for one would find it too tough. Also from what I've seen many of the women (speaking from a heterosexual perspective) tend to be high powered types on the make and one can't really guess whether they'd have alterior motives down the line.A case in point - the MD of my trading group when I was employed at the above firm was sued for sexual harassment by a trading assistant who just happened to be a blonde bimboreeta. What happened was that the MD brushed past her several times whilst she was bent forward in a standing position, presumably peering into her screens. We found out later that she successfully sued him for an out of court settlement of £137k.The guy had a wife and three kids so what could he do.She left the firm in any case a couple of months later.Every firm I've worked at since has had similar occurences.
