Part time or distance Phd in Maths

November 26th, 2010, 1:11 pm

Is anyone aware of a decent program for the above mentioned (obviously excluding the ones offered by degree factories). I have been considering this for a while but can not leave my job for now for a full time program. Objective - to do something other than my job and hopefully land a better job some day.

Open University is the obvious option. A part-time PhD is a massive commitment, six years at least. I'm studying a two-year master's programme part-time, which is much more manageable in my opinion.
