Wish list for www.wilmott.com V2.0

I am not sure I'd like a new design and new functionalities (French is tradition), but some day the Wilmott team will probably make this website evolve (I you don't evolve you die, right?). I thought it is a good idea to collect ideas from users for that virtual www.wilmott.com V2.0.

Also, a "Quant of the Month" pin up calendar, distributed to all members of the Forum. This will encourage greater participation by the silent multitude.

Just come up with some handsome costumes, elegant poses, and various settings. Tudor, Medieval, Golden Age of Rome.Would edouard be bored by a 12 month Pamela Anderson calendar?I think not!

Costumes? Sorry my mistake. In that case...I am currently modelling myself on Athos, the older, fatherly, musketeer with the troubled love life.P

I have finally given up on love - I just like pictures now. So, to that point, there is a fine line between the naked and the nude...

The Naked and the NudeFor me, the naked and the nude (By lexicographers construedAs synonyms that should expressThe same deficiency of dressOr shelter) stand as wide apartAs love from lies, or truth from art.Lovers without reproach will gazeOn bodies naked and ablaze; The Hippocratic eye will seeIn nakedness, anatomy; And naked shines the Goddess whenShe mounts her lion among men.The nude are bold, the nude are slyTo hold each treasonable eye. While draping by a showman's trickTheir dishabille in rhetoric,They grin a mock-religious grinOf scorn at those of naked skin. The naked, therefore, who competeAgainst the nude may know defeat;Yet when they both together treadThe briary pastures of the dead,By Gorgons with long whips pursued,How naked go the sometimes nude!- Robert Graves

A serious suggestion for a change:It would be very cool to have more QF and econometric toolboxes at our disposal - perhaps for a price. We have the LaTex Equation editor for posts already and I have LaTeX on my machines here.It would be nice to have access to MATLAB, R, Stata, and SAS. Would there be a way to set up a group purchasing account for some of these packages, so we could access them via W Forum?Perhaps you could have a tiered structure - free general membership and paid subscription membership featuring this and other benefits for additional fees.

(What about mathematica TS?)As far as the sub-forums are concerned, I would be there was a "Commodities" topic (price modelling, trading, and specific issues about commodities) as well as a "Industries, corporations, and businesses in finance" (for people to discuss about the way companies works, new businesses/financial products, get advise on start-up companies, and find partners).

Mathematica, sure - that was not on my list because I already have access to it, but would be good as an offering as well.Maple too, perhaps.
