Not seeing inline latex

November 20th, 2013, 1:15 am

Am I the only one not seeing the inline eqns being typeset? (old browser -- ie8) p.s. On a different computer with ie10, they look fine. So, did my old browser break or did something change at wilmott.com?

Try right-clicking on any visible LaTeX equation and change the rendering option to an alternative view. The MathJax script is not held on our server so I have no control over it. IE8 does appear to have some issues.

Right-clicking in ie8 does not produce a "rendering option" choice for me.Above the inline latex, right-clicking just produces the normal ie8 menu for right-clicking above any line of browser text.As I said, the latex is not being rendered -- it is just displayed as text with $'s etc displayed as orig entered by the poster. Above an equation set with the old equation editor, right-clicking just produces some choices such as "save picture as", etc

Found this. Apparently, it's a known recent bug with a fix in in the works

Nice find. Once they fix it, it will instantly be applied here.
