Test your veggie skills

November 13th, 2020, 5:19 pm

We should all eat more veggies! There is a much bigger variety than most of u think. A few of u know my first degree is garden plants and in growing vegetables (I actually got the very top grades in test of recognizing plants by latin names, just to BRAG).

So let us test u on some basic veggies, only latin names will be accepted, what is the type of onion below: (tips this one is picked late, far north in Northern hemisphere, but is not common in most stores)

Allium cepa? Red wing onion

Trying to think of a calculation involving onions.

Maybe like Dutch tulip options - there is an onion story there.

Nice!

And broccoli is full of fractals.

How many types of broccoli are there, roughly, and one Latin name?

This is a
Humani Sanguinis Allium cepa, in other words a standard onion stained in human blood!

That is my human blood, when making a salad and cutting up the onion when at same time watching Paul give a talk from Hawaii on that Conference....or possibly it was some else, don't remember who talked just when cut happened.  Think I got the conference for free. No more free for me! There is no free lunch! Almost had to pay with my finger!

Well my deep cut growing/healing very fast, after all I eat a lot of veggies! No worries! Peace and Love!

Sighs. I know. (It’s one of your three jokes. This, the Sanity Clause, and, ... maybe I’m being generous!!)

But did you know what google thought of it?

You cut your finger while slicing the onion and hence Humani Sanguinis?

Maybe you'd manage not to poison yourself where I shop my vitamins ;-)

An easy one, but just in case - don't eat it raw.

BTW, Oslo vegans consider figs non-vegan.
This picture makes me believe them:

I don't think any man here would take that poison bait.

But you are on track to win The Wilmott Forum NR Troll of the Year Award
