RFP databases for quant-related projects

June 6th, 2023, 11:04 am

I work for a consultancy, and am looking for advice (or leads)
on the problem of obtaining databases (or even examples)
of RFPs (requests for proposal) from banking or other potential financial
clients.
The purpose is to build an RFP library of questions and answers to quant
project proposals in order to enable the consultancy to respond agilely and quickly
when bidding for business from RFPs that arise in the future.
As a quant, I am looking in the quant-related space, for example projects
related to quantitative development, quantitative analysis, data analysis,
data science etc.
I have done the obvious google searches and tried contacting RFP
experts via linkedin but haven't found the results I'm looking for.
Free RFP databases would be ideal, but this is likely to be unrealistic.
I'm therefore also interested in knowing a bit about payment options -- who
the reliable database providers are and how much they charge, and whether
it's a worthwhile expense.
Our current approach is not to use any data and simply to compile one thousand questions
based on ChatGPT and our own quant backgrounds.  I am posting because
I am sceptical about our current approach.  As a non-manager, I am not empowered
to change this suspect approach directly.  Hence this post.

Thanks a lot for any help or advice.

CommodityQuant (working now as a quant consultant).

One idea: there are searchable databases for US gov't rfp's, which contain stuff like this

Thank you very much for your feedback.
I am now in contact with the sales team of a company who provide professional RFP solutions.
I hope their prices are within range so I can make the case to my boss.
