I’m absolutely sure that all Irish universities are better than the country average.

Physicists love categorical propositions.
Rules of thumb and heuristics are anathema to them. The solution is to extend the incomplete to protect the thesis.
Some call it a sophistical refutation.

He didn't define AI, but I suspect the linear variant.

Sounds like Aristotle's extra dictionem #10.

Like investing in illiquid forestry @11% return per year for 30 years. Bring out the TI-30 Galaxy.
Or a pension plan.

It would,do no harm for physicists to read up a bit on linguistic relativity.

If I utter "Pde/fdm" how many quants react with "Crank-Nicholson"?
Hmm. I notice that my phone “corrects” Nicolson to Nicholson. I assume that is what happened to you, too. Aside from that, I’ll offer a quote from one of my favorite authors: “Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so!”
No, it doesn't happen to me. I don't have a phone.
Does your phone also tell you that CN is not A-stable?

Scholars say big ideas are getting harder to find

https://phys.org/news/2017-09-scholars- ... arder.html

Specifically, the number of Americans engaged in R&D has jumped by more than twentyfold since 1930 while their collective productivity has dropped by a factor of 41.

Yeah, Nature retracted the paper, didn't they? :-( Yet another insulator: How scientists found that LK-99 is probably not a superconductor - The Hindu
Are they doing such things on purse? I worked next door to superconductor guys and always heard that many promising samples turn out to be insulators. First thing to check, easily...
