How to control an artificial intelligence with Support Vector Machines

October 16th, 2020, 7:20 pm

I thought that this topic could interest this forum. Text is available here, and is dedicated to kats cat !

I browsed. Some constructive feedback:

1 It's quite chatty/bloggy style (not necessarily bad) and might appeal to certain reader group.
2. No maths
3. Many 3rd party links (some are broken, again)
4. Well-written technical articles with begin, middle and end + CONCRETE EXAMPLES!
5. No cats, please.

My personal preference is 70-80% maths and 30-20% text/bla bla.

@Cuchullain. thank you for your feed-back. Some answer
1 + 2 No, no math. I am not targeting mathematicians working on artificial intelligence with this post, but their investors.
3 - I tested them all. Which one is broken ?
4 - True. I added two of them. There is some little math now.
5 - Ok. No cats. Do you like dogs ? I put numbers waiting your answer ;)

I like RKHS for several reasons(hard [$]\epsilon,\delta[$] analysis, Cauchy sequences, applied Functional Analysis and not much hand-waving and hot air and applications to ML.)

I am thinking of a 'compact' project for a student who is taking this course.

https://www.datasim.nl/onlinecourses/10 ... oundations
https://www.datasim.nl/application/file ... ations.pdf

Once he gets to Part F he could start on a RKHS-meets-ML project.

Any ideas, JohnLeM?

Buona giornata

That is a very good initiative Daniel. Some quick thoughts:
1) The program seems good, but incredibly dense ! Is this a year-long program for MsC students ?
2) I could ask internally if our ML-RHKS framework, tutorial parts, could be used for these courses.
Maybe should we go private to further discuss. Let me know.

Sure, you have my email address. It sounds very interesting.
Actually we take the critical path B->C->D->F. I customise to suit the end game:-)

// Actually, this is the first 3 years of a maths undergrad degree program, slightly watered down while keeping the punch lines in place.

I see. So you do work with a University to give these lectures ?

We could work together to design the G course : ML-RHKS, primarily oriented toward numerical simulations, but targeting the same applications than artificial intelligence. It is a wonderful technology, but we are the only ones doing it to my knowledge. Is it advised to teach students popping up technologies ?

I do work with several unis' students who take my courses that I built with my own 2 hands (the courses, not the students).

mm...let me think...here is a proposal : I tell to my bosses that a RHKS-ML formation is a good idea to promote our framework. I already know their reaction: "great idea, do it!". Unfortunately my team is just 2 people, including me. I don't have enough resources to write a book on RHKS methods or to train people, I am too much invested in client-oriented and research projects.

But I could tell them that I found a professional (and skilled) trainer, you, that could be interested to do it ?

Sounds good. I found you :-)

BTW I wonder how many DSers know all these spaces?
