Curious to know if this library project is still semi-active and if it would make sense to include work on Julia.

Reference here: https://julialang.org/

There are a few mentions on this forum.

Any updates from the Julia trenches?

On TIOBE popularity scale it is #35, just above Visual Fox Pro.
Visual Basic is #6.

Perhaps it would do better if it were renamed “Visual Julia”. Of course, this could be largely accomplished by going to julia-vscode.org

Some of you might be interested to know that the Julia folks are holding their annual conference (virtually) July 28-30.

Julia Con 2021

It's free, but register for access to the sessions.

general questions

1. Is Julia fun and intellectually stimulating or is it just another (quiche) language? (my greate$t regret was investing in Prolog).
2. What's the uptake?
3. Example: develop a PDE solver, choose C++ or Julia? why? Compare and contrast.
4. Developer view, business view could give different answers.

In addition to the conference listed previously, there will be a series of workshops this week, starting on Tuesday.

The schedule is here: Julia Con Workshop Schedule
