Buckingham Palace says Queen Elizabeth II will welcome President Donald Trump and his wife Melania at Windsor Castle where they will watch a military march before having tea on Friday.
The palace said Wednesday the president will be greeted by an honor guard formed of the Coldstream Guards and will receive a royal salute before the U.S. national anthem is played.
Trump and the queen will review the honor guard before watching a military parade. Trump and his wife will then have tea with the queen inside the castle.

U.S. first lady Melania Trump is visiting a music academy near the Belgian capital as her spouse and other world leaders attend a NATO summit.
Trump, who is accompanying President Donald Trump on a weeklong trip to Europe, stopped Wednesday at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, near Brussels.
The spouses were welcomed to the music center by Amelie Derbaudrenghien, the partner of Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, and Ingrid Schulerud, the wife of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. They toured the center and attended a piano and violin concert.
Other participating first ladies include Brigitte Macron of France and Emine Erdogan of Turkey.

President Trump: It’s a very small amount of money to what they owe and to what they should be paying. And it’s an unfair burden on the United States. So we’re here to talk about that and I’m sure it will be resolved.

Secretary General Stoltenberg: We all agree that we have to do more. But also we’ve seen the biggest increase in defense spending … in a generation.

President Trump: Why was that last year?

Secretary General Stoltenberg: It’s also because of your leadership and your message.

President Trump (pointing to liberal media): They won’t write that but that’s OK.

Ciao!

many Trump voters want to leave NATO.
What exactly is the point of NATO these days? It was a Cold War institution, one of the trip wires laid down to protect the West from imperial communism. But the Cold War is long gone, and NATO is an institution in search of a mission.
At the moment, the US is paying for Europe's defense: I posted a few days ago that the US is paying something like 72% of the cost of NATO, and only NATO 4 countries, including the US, meet the 2% of GDP target for defense spending.

The people if not the governments of Europe may feel the same way
Germans want Donald Trump to pull US troops out of Germany, poll finds

There's been talk of an EU army. Let Europe pay for its own defense

Do they also have stats on the share of people polled and actually knowing what NATO is?

The President is doing exactly what he said he would do when he addressed the issue of NATO during the election

Trump brands Nato ‘obsolete’ ahead of tough Wisconsin primary

Speaking in Wisconsin ahead of the state's primary on Tuesday, he went further by saying that Nato’s demise would not be a serious problem.
“Its possible that we're going to have to let Nato go,” Mr Trump told supporters in Eau Claire. “When we’re paying and nobody else is really paying, a couple of other countries are but nobody else is really paying, you feel like the jerk.”
Mr Trump said that, if elected US president, he would contact many of the other 27 Nato members and put pressure on them to make a larger financial contribution or leave.
“I call up all of those countries . . . and say 'fellas you haven't paid for years, give us the money or get the hell out’," Mr Trump said to loud cheers. “I'd say you've gotta pay us or get out. You're out, out, out . . . Maybe Nato will dissolve, and that's OK, not the worst thing in the world.”

we had some of that fake news "fact checking" in the FT article linked here:
Addressing a crowd in Wisconsin on Saturday, Mr Trump asserted that the US was paying 73 per cent towards Nato, but figures from the organisation show that Washington contributes 22 per cent of the direct budget, followed by Germany which pays 15 per cent, and France which puts up 11 per cent.

So President Trump was lying?
Of course not. If you add up the defense budgets of all the NATO members, the US was indeed paying 73% of NATO defense spending

So the agenda is coming more clearly into focus: give Putin back what is rightfully his.

The rest of the Republican party probably needs its own thread, since it is not clear that they are much better than Trump. Statements made by the GOP clowns in the House oversight and judiciary committees were saying during the marathon beating up of senior FBI agent Peter Strzok today suggest that there is very little hope for the country with them around. There is obviously a tiny chance that November may change things, but there will be heavy fingers on that scale. Turkey is starting to look like a model democracy compared to the US at this point.
