Things look serious:

Regeneron Confirms that REGN-COV2 Antibody Cocktail Provided to President Trump Under Compassionate Use Request

What is Compassionate Use Request

"In the USA, this type of compassionate use program is also known as an Expanded Access Program (EAP) and is intended for patients with serious or life-threatening conditions who do not have any viable or available treatment options"

Might explain why Biden pulled those negative ads.

That could be the story. Or it could just be Trump going “gimme the newest drug!” We’ll probably never know.

Minor clarification: Kellyanne Conway is not sick, she is just experiencing alternative health.

As long as they keep it to themselves, it’s all good. But today, the idiot commandeered a car to drive by and wave to some Proud Boys, or whatever. The car being bullet proof and hermetically sealed leaves little chance for his viruses to escape, so they will reside with whomever were required to be his driver and security detail. Who probably didn’t have much choice in the matter. As attending physician Dr. James Phillips at Walter Reed tweeted today: “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theatre.”
So, in other words, as long as Trump is alive he represents a clear and present danger.

Madness, madness, they call it madness
Well if this is madness
Then I know I'm filled with gladness
It's gonna be rougher
It's gonna be tougher, pa-da-da, pa-da-da
But I won't be the one who's gonna suffer
Oh no, I won't be the one who's gonna suffer
You are gonna be the one, a-you...

To quote the idiot: “Don’t be afraid of Covid.” He’ll go back to the White House and hopefully continue to infect those around him.

And the difference between this and the end of the (otherwise excellent) SNL debate is...?! Other than one is outside and the other in a hot, stuffy studio.

There's more hugging outside. 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. And what about after-ski.
In the States they have air-conditioning everywhere.

I think the fear is pretty evenly distributed, only about totally different things. Trump voters are deathly afraid that the government will come and take their assault weapons away. And that somewhere, somehow, somebody may be having sex for purposes other than procreation in a state of holy matrimony. That scares them so much that pretty much everything else is irrelevant. But then there are black people, brown people, people who talk funny, Mexican rapists, and Muslims. All very, very scary. Especially if observed in their suburb! That’s when them assault rifles are called for.

Then why the heck all those very very scary people support Trump? Something we wondered with my old Brazilian friend today.

Most of them don’t, but there are certainly millions who do. One example would be Cubans and Venezuelans in Florida, who made it to the country before Trump, who have been convinced that Democrat = Socialist (=Communist). Having had bad experiences with the latter, and not necessarily having either the time or the inclination to study subtleties of American politics, you could see how they could get lulled into supporting the guy who hates them (well, unless they clean his hotel rooms off the books for less than minimum wage). This is one area where outreach and campaigning may actually make a difference.

Maybe he was playing a game.

Patriotism is the Last Refuge of a Scoundrel

Samuel Johnson

It has been said that patriotism is the scoundrel’s last refuge. In this day and age anti-Communism is sometimes the scoundrel’s first defense.

As politician you need to 1) create an enemy to give the blame to, and 2) who tells you how good the 50s (1650, 1850, 1950) were.
Same old BS story.

Maybe the same type of people who buy expensive gadgets they can't afford to look like they belong.

The friend of mine was actually talking about Florida.
