On a serious note, Biden is already getting word out about some of his first actions as President and this is good news:

Transition plans - Coronavirus Task Force - CNN Nov 7

Also, I think it's time to start a new thread!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend - political analysis resumes on Monday!

Not too worried about a reversal of fortune, but among my many cookbooks, I do have one very subversive Cookbook.
Does it have an unusual recipe with bananas?

Hehe - yes, it does.  That cookbook that dare not speak its name is a relic from my time at the Kremlin on the Charles.  Many used bookstores in that town...

However, my Martha Stewart books have some wonderful recipes for Bananas!!

For research purposes, here is a listing of all of the Executive Orders from 2016-2020.

In easy to scan format: List of Executive actions by Donald Trump - Wikipedia

And then the original source:

The White House.gov - Presidential Actions

So, a little light reading for Sunday!

It is dry material, no doubt about that, so maybe we can also get an update on Pamela Anderson and the Kardashians from our resident GenY gossip columnist, tagoma. : )

Noticed a nice link to the second Extremistan article, so thanks for that.  Good timing!

Well, we can see that the people around him are steering him towards the golf course.  They may have drunk the Kool-Aid, but they are sobering up now.
Let's hope it continues.  They may or may not take his Twitter account access away; it depends what he does with it.

I'm heading out to the river - no Twitter, no CNN, no more projections for now. Just sun, wind, and water!

Lots of free time, less commuting and a chance to improve on the handicap in the sunshine state. Bliss.

It's interesting that Americans see Trump and define Trumpism as a threat to democracy. I'm surely lacking insight here, but it looked the opposite to me. The American democracy under Trump seemed stronger than ever - all its mechanisms were used freely to manipulate and misinform the free society. And there was no authoritarian rule, force or power controlling them - the free mechanisms freely operated themselves. Maybe a politologist could describe it more clearly... It looked like an angry Looney Tunes version of Putin's Russia. Putin hacked democracy, and the American democracy has hacked itself?

Anyway, perhaps it's time for the follow-up to The Open Society and Its Enemies: The Open Society as The Enemy of Itself.

I'm raising the glass to the victory of American democracy over democracy (or the other way around?) with an English porter from Norwegian Vinmonopolet!

It's bad form to gloat, but this is so funny- have to share in case you guys haven't seen it.
Trump team announced a BIG press conference at the Four Seasons.
Then had to correct - not The Four Seasons Hotel, but Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

A small business.

OK, maybe error, but location, location, location.

The location was between a porn shop and a type of funeral facility.

You cannot make this stuff up.  Too funny. : )

Many glasses have been raised here, too! I think when a president says that there are only two possible outcomes of the election: either he wins or he has been cheated, that is about as undemocratic a sentiment as you can exhibit. You then couple that with four years of assaults on the institutions, traditions and practices that have held the ramshackle US democracy together, and you might begin to see why we thought the country would be utterly fucked with another four years. Of course, having 70 million votes for Trump shows that large swaths of the country may already be broken beyond repair.

I'm probably oversimplifying things, but I'm also looking at them from the perspective of someone who grew up in Eastern Europe in the family of dissidents.
It's relative, not necessarily wrong. For instance, last weekend it turned out that I have the opposite perspective on leek to Norwegians' - I choose the white part, they go for the green (?!).

NO! we farmers eat the white part! oslo people likely prefer the green part, and even want to decide what we people of the land should eat!  to eat green do not mean u are green, it could also mean u have no clue on veggies! The green part normally given to the pigs (they also need some C) !
