Well, I'm on a very slow boomerang trajectory. What should have taken 2 years has grown exponentially to 18. I'll give my employer the chance with helping me to get back onto the grid in the U.S. at some point. After that, it's off to a state which isn't wallowing in debt (and thereby increasing property taxes etc. to service said debt).

Well, it's a question of what you get and where. If I can buy 200 acres of land in Idaho / Montana / etc. for $250,000, why not? A townhouse / terrace in or outside of Dublin would set me back €350,000-2,500,000. And that's with next to no yard.

I have nothing new to add about all the politicians and other celebrities discussed extensively here and elsewhere.
However, what about the people none of us has heard from publicly?  The "silent majority" ?

If family/friends/neighbors/coworkers/employees are so QUICK to turn in rioters, perhaps these rioters were wearing out their welcome long before Jan.6.  That implies a low level of support for extremism.  That encourages cautious optimism on my part.
