STOP THE COUNT!
How come I get 125 (i was expecting TWO)?
w = 1
s1 = set(); s1.add(w);
print(sys.getrefcount(w)) # what is the reference count? I get 125

It's bad form to gloat, but this is so funny- have to share in case you guys haven't seen it.
Trump team announced a BIG press conference at the Four Seasons.
Then had to correct - not The Four Seasons Hotel, but Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

A small business.

OK, maybe error, but location, location, location.

The location was between a porn shop and a type of funeral facility.

You cannot make this stuff up.  Too funny. : )

NO! we farmers eat the white part! oslo people likely prefer the green part, and even want to decide what we people of the land should eat!  to eat green do not mean u are green, it could also mean u have no clue on veggies! The green part normally given to the pigs (they also need some C) !
Nettopp!

Not really. Remember Thalidomide. A couple,of my buddies' pregnant mothers used it in 1952.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thalidomi ... ect_crisis

At the time...

During this period, the use of medications during pregnancy was not strictly controlled, and drugs were not thoroughly tested for potential harm to the fetus.[32] Thousands of pregnant women took the drug to relieve their symptoms. At the time of the drug's development, scientists did not believe any drug taken by a pregnant woman could pass across the placental barrier and harm the developing fetus,[36] even though the effect of alcohol on fetal development had been documented by case studies on alcoholic mothers since at least 1957.[37] There soon appeared reports of abnormalities in children being born to mothers using thalidomide. In late 1959, it was noticed that peripheral neuritis developed in patients who took the drug over a period of time, and it was only after this point that thalidomide ceased to be provided over the counter.[38]

As I’m sure you know, Pfizer didn’t take money from Operation Warp Speed. But I’m very grateful for the timing of this announcement. A week earlier and all could have been lost.

Yes, I was thinking about that too -- if it could have changed the election outcome? Unlucky timing for Trump. I'm sure the Democratic response to the announcement  would have been completely different a week ago. Twitter probably would have banned it as Fake News. My suspicion is that, since the Biden vote was mostly about hatred for Trump regardless of covid, etc, it wouldn't have mattered to the outcome.

i have not followed US last few days, Biden still projected winner?

How many states still counting? How many will be re-counted? How many with extraordinary checks for valid votes?

Alaska coming in soon with its number 3! I want to go there one day, not been there yet! My body only function optimally when cold weather!

Georgia recount for sure, as their election officials announced it. Trump can ask/pay for Wisconsin, but I will guess he won't if other court challenges go nowhere.

I have been to Juneau several times -- may be too warm for you!

Yes, every state is different. The Internet says: AZ mandatory recount at 0.1% dif or less; otherwise, no.

I will guess the *real* court battles will be against those who fraudulently move to Georgia to register to vote to try to swing the Senate runoff! Clearly, the Republicans will petition a court to get all those "late registrant" ballots segregated early. If those ballots makes a difference, then it becomes a nightmare!

Under the nightmare scenario, I can visualize reporters doxing those people and trying to interview them! Will the FBI call them in for interviews? Will there be a trial for some to let a jury determine if they committed election fraud? Do we wait for all the trials for the Senate election to be over? In that case, welcome to the election-that-never-ends!

Georgia may want to do a little fine tuning of their rules after the dust settles here!
