A nice story broken by the Daily Beast today about Trump's new favorite news network, since Fox News is not sucking up well and thoroughly enough. https://www.thedailybeast.com/oan-trumps-new-favorite-channel-employs-kremlin-paid-journalist

Oh, and in business as usual, Trump endorsed Beijing's violent attacks on Hong Kong protesters. Because, you know, his good buddy Xi is far more important than human rights. Human whats? That's silly...

He should pay lip service to human rights in China before sucking up to the Chinese govt like everyone else.

Trump doesn't really enjoy killing civilians in Yemen, but he is going to do it anyway. Because he can.

So Trump is pissing all over the prime minister of Sweden because a friend of the Kardashians is being prosecuted for a violent attack that he carried out in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. Because Trump had seen a video on the internet (just slightly edited) demonstrating the innocence of said wrapper.

Apologies for a redundant post (I guess most of them are), but Trump's recent racist fusillade directed against congressman Cummings and his rodent-infested shithole city of Baltimore is, if not a new low, at least plumbing the bottoms currently known. The city is fighting back though, this from a (rather mild-mannered) editorial in the Baltimore Sun:

"Finally, while we would not sink to name-calling in the Trumpian manner — or ruefully point out that he failed to spell the congressman’s name correctly (it’s Cummings, not Cumming) — we would tell the most dishonest man to ever occupy the Oval Office, the mocker of war heroes, the gleeful grabber of women’s private parts, the serial bankrupter of businesses, the useful idiot of Vladimir Putin and the guy who insisted there are “good people” among murderous neo-Nazis that he’s still not fooling most Americans into believing he’s even slightly competent in his current post. Or that he possesses a scintilla of integrity. Better to have some vermin living in your neighborhood than to be one."

Trump assuming that Sweden is just like another banana republic:

Little does he know, it's a banana kingdom! And, the fucking wrapper may go free, or at least not come back to Sweden to serve his term.

So Trump and the NRA are offering their "thoughts and prayers" for the families of the people killed in El Paso. You live in Texas, you die in Texas. Republican (i.e. NRA) gun policies make this a completely predictable and repeatable exercise. Thoughts and prayers, indeed!

There are some 15-20 million assault rifles owned by US civilians. There should be exactly zero role for them. Well, except for ...

Putting wet clothes on social media and video games.
Americans will buy it - they have some problem with social media. E.g. today I was meeting a friend, retired primatologist, whom I found on social media. We met another girl who showed us photos of her adopted dog - found via social media. Pure evil. Maybe the thing about using social media is that one needs to be normal in the first place (?)

Once in a while I will grudgingly admit to miss ppauper. Had he still been among the living, he would have been all over the conspiracy theory that Bill and Hilary Clinton killed Jeffrey Epstein, probably even before Trump promoted it.
