I’ll take the under on the 3 days, but think Tarantino’s style is a bit mild mannered and peaceful for the purpose.

We now have a sitting president talking about “a coup” and “civil war”, while frothing at the mouth and having his minions actively obstructing congress. As this moves along, I think he may well nuke California (or have his close ally Kim do it for him), but I think he will spare NYC because of his real estate holdings.

Where I live (Newport Beach) is safe because Kim's friend Dennis Rodman lives here. Most at risk is probably Burbank (28th district), which is why A.S. is not going on break!  :D

You are getting them from Brexit. And we are getting words coming the other way, like “playbook.” It’s entertaining!

Yes and no. There is certainly an entertainment value there, like in watching a train wreck (or two, in this case). The fact that people like Bannon and Murdoch are orchestrating both events is a bit more disturbing, especially since, in their world view, this is just the beginning.

Trump's love interest (aside from Stormy) just demonstrated his ability to launch an ICMB from a submarine. That's a good thing, right?

Re a post in another thread where I linked to an NYT article "The Whistleblower knows how to write". Now, it turns out there may have been a lawyer involved in the writing of it:

NYT: Schiff got early account ...
The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the (whistleblower)  find a lawyer to advise him ...
So, I guess we have to say at this point "the Whistleblower and/or his lawyer knows how to write …". Diminishes the impact IMO, in light of the only other written account, which is the summarized transcript. After all, we're potentially going from a second-hand account to a third-hand account.

You would have to be kind of nuts to write a document like this without consulting a lawyer.

Fair enough. Certainly the lawyer gets kudos for arranging for protective custody. But, what you don't want is for the lawyer to be a ghostwriter.

p.s. Wow, I knew lawyers can get quite specialized -- asbestos litigation, say -- but I didn't realize you could specialize in whistleblowers!

It's almost as if there are too many lawyers!

They now have specialisation in fighting for the animal welfare and rights, and against climate heating. The signs of the times.

Lawyering is an interesting business model. It's one of few where oversupply does not lead to lower prices. They can create their own demand.

Similarly medicine.

Imagine how awful it would be if lawyers and doctors got together.

Oh, right. Sorry, America.
