The only place I ever see rats, other than in zoos, is NYC.

I wonder if any one has done research on diabetis and coronary diseases in NYC rats.

I rarely see rats in the UK but I see rat poisoning boxes all over the place, often outside places like out of town supermarkets.
Who clears out the dead ones, I wonder?

Back to the non-rat topic. I can't really think of any animal that wouldn't be grossly abused by being compared to Trump. One thought is that the precedence set by the senate's accepting the arguments of his lunatic crew of defense lawyers is irrelevant to him and his acolytes. Nobody else will ever be president of the US. Thus allowing gross abuse of power and obstruction of Congress is fine, because that's what he is planning to do until his kids take over. And then they'll do it. But there may not be a Congress, because they can be kind of annoying. Supreme court, maybe, as long as they're all in the family.

To slightly paraphrase Harvard law professor and OJ Simpson defender Alan Dershowitz: nothing Trump could possibly have said or done would amount to high crimes and misdemeanors. And, therefore, it would be ridiculous to call any witnesses to testify about it. Nothing to see here. Just move on!

So Jared Kushner, negotiating with himself on behalf of Trump and Netanyahu, has arrived at a complex solution to the problem: a real state for Israel and an imaginary state for Palestine.

Trump gets a massive political gift from the utterly incompetent Iranians who when allegedly trying to retaliate give out enough warnings to make the attack completely ineffective
I understand, but not share, your disappointment that no US personnel has been killed by Iranian missiles. How many dead US soldiers would satisfy the US "Resistance"?
I'm sorry to disrupt the impeachment coverage of the traitor, but current news reports suggest that at least 50 US soldiers are diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries from the Iranian missiles sent in response to the Trump assassination. But, of course, they're just like headaches. Not like those bone spurs...

Shell shock can be debilitating. Now they know how civilians suffer when they bomb an Arab town.

Dershowitz is moving right along. His theory is now that anything a sitting president does for the purpose of being re-elected cannot be grounds for impeachment. I presume that would include killing all of his potential opponents. Which is getting likelier by the day...

Unrelated, but if they're going to subpoena John Bolton, they have to subpoena Hope Hicks. Why? Oh come on :D ...

And, as far as potential witnesses are concerned, if there is any chance of them telling the truth, no fucking way!
