I don’t actually object to making fun of these difficult times - see the gallows humor thread. But we have to work harder on the task of making fun of Trump!

Kanye West is running for president. On one hand, he would tend to attract the same idiots that may vote for Trump, so that’s a good thing. On the other hand, he may manage to make Trump look erudite and thoughtful by comparison. Because he is a blathering idiot. And he loves Jesus really hard.

And the NRA supports him.

But a rap-style state-of-the-union speech would be a lot of fun.
Plus, a first lady with a sex tape!

Yeah - the sex tape was OK. In that spirit, Trump used his press conference today to comment on Jeff Epstein’s procurement specialist, Ghislaine Maxwell. He acknowledged knowing her (too many photos to deny it) and settled on “I wish her well”. Her role was to bring girls as young as 14 to Epstein for their enjoyment.

I think there should be a Jeffrey Epstein number. If you knew him, you get a 1. If you knew somebody who knew him, you get a 2, etc. According to Kevin Bacon, everybody on the planet has a Jeffrey Epstein number of 6 or less.

I’m willing to bet mine is 2, although I would have to dig a little deeper to find a specific link. It’s not Andrew.

Edit: I’m going with Ralph. Moderately notorious hedge fund manager.

Trump is trying his hardest to create riots in the streets of Chicago (in addition to Portland), so that his storm troopers can kill him some Black guys and let him be the great white savior. May he go die in a hole!

Ironically how the GOP, which was always gung-ho for States Rights, is so approving of the federal government sending troops to pacify protests which the state governor is OK with.

I think that is a good point, and it illustrates how the GOP doesn’t really exist anymore, aside from a Trump personality cult. And he has no principles beyond what will win him reelection, make him and his family rich(er), and keep him out of prison. Conveniently, in his case those three are just about perfectly aligned.

Trump is talking about sending some 60,000 troops into cities run by Democrats. They will kidnap protesters, kill undesirables and prepare for an orderly election in November. Maybe, just maybe, the side of sanity and democracy will send some troops to his golf course. A well placed mashie niblick would go a long way.
