To keep the city riff-raff out. Of course, it doesn’t apply to the LIE.
Just imagine living in Smithtown or Babylon..

So I had a chance to listen to most of the incitement speech today, and it was really worse than what has generally been reported in the media. By the time of the inauguration we may have 30,000 National Guard soldiers in place, which may or may not be enough to defend against Trump’s forces. It should be enough if they go for total annihilation. Anything else would constitute appeasement.

Operation Warp is wrapping up as pretty much a total failure of getting vaccines into people’s arms. Even the WSJ noted today that there had been no federal plan for distribution. Slightly less Trump sycophantic news outlets also noted the rampant lies and deceptions put forth by the administration in this regard, and the blocking of the Biden team from learning anything about what is going on. Because, obviously, you want the Biden team to fail, so as to make the losing loser who lost look less pathetic.

Does Donald Trump believe in Santy Klaus and White Christmas?

It’s easy to believe in White Christmas, I’ve seen it many times. Cuch, shall we do the “Sisters, sisters” duet? You can be Bing, Kat will like that.

Was the US Constitution set up with Oliver Cromwell in mind, i.e. worst case scenario?

In a few words: no concentration of power in the hands of the few and an elaborate system of checks and balances.

It might just possibly save us from Trump, despite Mitch McConnell’s best efforts to undermine it over the last five years.

Close the schools in celebration. (Has the side benefit of keeping troublemakers at home looking after their six-fingered children.)

(JK, Trumpians that I know are very nice, with nice children.)
