You would think that, indeed. But DUP only listens to Boris. And Scripture.
But you know that alreadyi I guess, but it is difficult to read between the lines especially when they are one-liners.
Feel free to elaborate.

What are the chances that Boris Johnson or Dominic Cummings ever heard of Lundy?

I can't speak for them, but I had not. It looks like a very interesting place! And to add a language connection (which I'm guessing is real), the Norwegian word for puffin is "lundefugl", i.e. bird of Lundy.

Lundy is reviled in Ulster loyalism   to this day as a traitor and is burned in effigy during the celebrations to mark the anniversary of the shutting of the gates of Derry in 1688. A 'Lundy' has also become a byword for traitor for unionists and loyalists. Ian Paisley regularly denounced people, including Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher, Captain Terence O'Neill and First Minister David Trimble, as "Lundies".

Outgoing DUP MP Nigel Dodds says "it's important that the Northern Ireland Assembly is up and running as quick as possible" so that Northen Ireland politicians can have a role to play in Brexit negotiations

Priceless!

Arlene Foster: Why did the DUP move against its leader?

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-56907858

Betrayed by Boris Johnson when he signed up to the Brexit deal that would mean different trading arrangements for Northern Ireland from the rest of the UK, Mrs Foster faced accusations of poor judgement for trusting a prime minister who has disregarded the union.
