As predicted, and as voted for democratically. Old fashioned, I know...!
"Democracy" is not the first word that comes to mind when it comes to the Six Counties.

So, just some post-Brexit rumblings in Belfast. Almost like the old days...
Yes, no one in UK and >= 20 km south of Dundalk cares.
When will the penny drop with the loyal Union supporters?

Thy have forgotten the working class. The educational system is 1950s and is broke. They even have grammar schools.

And as Walter Konkite would say "and that's that's the way it is".

Sausage War looming

Sausages take centre stage in latest NI Protocol row

Very awkward ... it's the Orange marching season coming up; you don't want Southern sausages! Must be jolly English sausages.

I think the UK spokesperson was a bit long winded. He should simply have said “The protocol was an agreement entered into by Mr Johnson. He obviously did not intend for England to live up to it.”

More Catholics than Protestants for first time in Northern Ireland Census

https://www.rte.ie/news/2022/0922/13247 ... nd-census/

The proportion of the population who defined themselves as 'British only' is 31.9%.

It's even more complicated.

Every seed is sacred
Every seed is great
If a seed is wasted,
God gets quite irate

In the old days you couldn't get a well-paid job or any job at H&W if you were  a Catholic (unless you worked as a painter and you were lynched just before retirement, was standard protocol). So they went to university (big UK grants), teaching, nursing etc.

We always wondered where the Northeners at TCD got all that dough.

RIP H&W.

Why do you worry? You're an atheist.

BTW. Is H&W Hull and White?

It seems to be a Belfast ship builder. And, as I’m sure the very funny late Dave Allen would have endorsed, do you mean a Catholic atheist or a Protestant atheist?

Cuch is certainly a Catholic atheist but the question remains: whom does he hate more? What is stronger: tribal identity of belief?
