Get an EHIC or GHIC card. It’s free, and gets you free healthcare in the EU etc.

Dear Listener from the NL,

If these trivia upset you then you are in for a shock and you might want to double your dose of beta blockers...in the UK they drive on the wrong side of the road.
I agree. Driving on LHS is correct with a left-hand drive.

Simon: "I see we have a caller from Belgium"

Dear Simon,
I have an Irish passport and have been living on the mainland for a number of years.
My question is; do I still retain the benefits of the Common Travel Area (CTA)?

yours

Dear Radio 4 listener,

At your age you really shouldn’t be travelling. Think of your hips.

I always travel with my bodyguards for support. We go back a long way. And mosh pitting is a great way to keep in shape.
BTW Simon, how's that VAT saga coming along?

Is this for real?

https://nation.cymru/news/uk-economy-no ... sinessmen/

"The UK could face “steadily increasing taxes, steadily reducing benefits and social services, higher interest rates, and eventually the need for a bailout from the IMF like we were in the ’70s,” he said."

Again, Cuch, you have failed to research your source! Guy Hands has not been reliable for a couple of decades. What's more, he is in private equity, which is even worse than working for Goldman Sachs.

Still, anyone who likes roast potatoes and gravy can't be all bad.

So Stanley Johnson who declared that Lord Heseltine had wiped the floor with the two talking heads is Boris Johnson's father -- ? lol

In America's politics, it has been completely predictable that when some Trumpublican initiative -- usually a tax cut for the wealthy -- failed to deliver what had been promised of it -- usually such robust economic growth that tax revenues actually RISE -- the Trumpublicans would insist that they just hadn't been allowed to go far enough: "Conservatism never failed us; we failed conservatism."

The blonde nitwit blaming the people who resisted Brexit for its failures smelt of that.

This is potentially a win-win.

When Brexit fails in £££ terms:
A) Brexiteers will be happy because we still have Brexit and it wasn’t all about £££ anyway
B) Remoaners will be happy because they can continue to moan
