I prefer the original:

But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft a-gley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promised joy.

And the joy is the sweetest if it comes after pain and grief. Easy life is a selfish and ungrateful life! (Though, it looks good on social media.)

Keep in touch with the Dutch

I live very close to Wijk aan Zee but the party at Duinkerke would have been more fitting.

That's why Duinkerke is better: real Belgian beer and frites.

This is best

It can be a lot of fun! I once met four guys in their 50s (I think they were journalist, because one of them looked familiar) drinking in Craft Beer at Chancery Lane (I was alone waiting for ISayMoo and my sister). The guys had so much fun (and ale) that one poured his glass into the other's trousers, at which the wetted guy started to take off his clothes. It all happened in front of my table (they even sent me a few drunk smiles) and when he arrived at his knickers and I thought that I would finally see if it's true what happens to men there when they age... the barman stopped him :-(
I went there every Friday for a half year, but I never saw them again.

I will be 67 in 8 days. One of my students yesterday said I looked 50. I don't even have wrinkles on my forehead.
I put it down to the gentle sports of MMA and kick-boxing which I took up during the summer months.

“ I thought that I would finally see if it's true what happens to men there when they age...”

Disregarding the issues of sample size and selection (a case of a convenience sample if I ever saw one), what was the null hypothesis?

I thought perhaps you were going to apply a shrinkage estimator.
