But MI5 can listen in anyway, nationalised broadband or not.
Ah, but do Labour know this?!

I don’t think the various secret services are fans of Corbyn!

Come on. Labour wrote most of UK's anti-terrorism laws: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_Acts Secret services will work with anyone as long as they get to do what they like to do and the funding is there.

My first comment was one I often make in various circumstances, about what is true versus what people think is true. And you are right it won't apply here...Labour aren't that stupid. (Except perhaps Abbott.) Institutionally sociopathic yes, but not stupid.

If Agent Cob becomes PM I expect there'll be some issues for the secret services to address! At least they won't mind showing him where the Big Red Button is since he'll never press it.

Apparently MIx weren't that hot on Johnson and Cummings either, because of their connections with Russian interests.

It's very difficult to go through life without meeting any Russians. Believe me, I've tried.

Not so many young Russian quants these days.

I used to know a few but, oddly, twenty years later they are middle aged Russian quants. And, furthermore, many of them were apparently Ukrainian all along.

How long have you lived in E London?
Longer than you.
I have never lived in E London.
But you studied with a guy whose paternal uncle gave harpsichord lessons to a guy who ate in an old junk food shop at Bricklane, so you know the territory better than I ;-P

After one has known them for a few years one doesn’t like to ask.

Also very difficult to run a political party without taking money from Russian oligarchs, apparently.

Indeed.

Btw I do know one nice Russian. I feel I should mention this in case he reads this.
