Still, there is some discontent brewing
Will you support them to the hilt?

I’m not supporting anyone. I think they should protect the really old and vulnerable and let the rest get on with their lives. I’m not keen on being locked up and having children suffering. I’d rather take my chances in order for all children to have normal lives.

And I think that those playing politics with this are the really sick ones.

I don’t think it’s easy for any politician to do what is probably right in this situation.

I just watched Cummings's speech. And, sure, he is an honourable man, I speak not to disprove what Dominic spoke,
He has used the SANTY CLAUSE card (at the bottom and in fine print).

And you know when someone lies when they answer with "with the greatest respect", That's BS because he said he has roughly 100% disregard for the media. And the media gave it back today, in no small measure.

No, he is an abrasive, right-wing, nasty, elitist white male.

I just have a minor clarification to add. He is an elitist only as far as he gets to define who constitute the elite. He, like his US counterpart Steve Bannon, is the antithesis of the “liberal elite”, for which Paul has a multitude of synonyms.

In George Orwell's novella Animal Farm, the pigs change the Seven Commandments after they start carrying whips and walking like humans. Instead of having all seven "rules", they change them to a single idea: All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others.

I’m not sure what counts as fraud in the UK legal system, but Cummings editing his own blog post a year later and then falsely taking credit for his Coronavirus warning certainly speaks to a deeply flawed character.

How can someone with a degree in History have the insights to know that a pandemic was brewing?
BTW did he modify the blog before or after yesterday's Q&A session?

The Guardian reported that "Anna Karenina, maths and Bismarck are his three obsessions."[
Journalist Owen Bennett claimed that Cummings "is a Russophile, speaks Russian, and is passionately interested in Dostoyevsky

That obsession with maths is not healthy.

The blog was supposedly edited in the evening of April 14.

While the phrase “herd immunity” was used by government figures such as Sir Patrick Vallance, the chief scientific adviser, No 10 has denied it was ever a tactic. However, the use of the phrase illustrated initial tensions within government over how to balance the economic impact of a full national lockdown against the potential number of deaths from the virus.

My take is (from listening to BBC 2) that herd immunity was the tactic in the early days (February) and stated by Boris Johnson. Then enter the Ferguson model(?)

Dominic Cummings says he drove to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight]Dominic Cummings says he drove to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight

Cummings tested his eyesight on innocent co-drivers and their families to make sure he can safely drive his own family. Can I test Remdesivir on his children, because I'm planning to use it on my cat if she gets corona?

For somebody who is actually supposed to be pretty smart, that was a dumb story to tell. Not that it seems to change anything, since BJ needs him, but still?
