More Borisismus.

Boris Johnson says his plan for a bridge from Scotland to Northern Ireland ‘would only cost about £15 billion’

Mr Johnson, who left office comparing himself to a Roman dictator brought into power twice to fend off crises, might face difficulty in reaching the 100 votes after his three-year tenure was blighted by scandals and allegations of misconduct.
Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Jacob Rees-Mogg this morning announced his support for Mr Johnson on Twitter.

At least he didn't compare himself to Napoleon Bonaparte.
Mind you, anything's possible these days.

I think anyone who has ever worked for Goldman Sachs should be banned from public office. (Sunak, Carney,...)

Rishi was only there for a few years.
Hiis moment supreme at TCI was his KO of ABN/AMRO and RBS.

Nederland almost went into meltdown. Private profit, socialised debt.

I would choose Rishi rather than someone who dabbled in the Classics as an undergrad.
My alma mater had those Classics dudes poncing and strutting in Front Square as if they were masters of a universe.
The 19th century lasted well into the 1970s and beyond, in some cases.

Are you saying he sold his soul…and then bought it back again?

I think I have it. Borisism can be described as simply this: “If others remain willing to give me money, being an MP or even PM is a part-time job.”

Or even neither.
He could try MEP, like Nigel Farage.
Rebel without a cause.

Boris Johnson ‘agrees to buy’ £4m nine-bed Georgian manor house (with moat)

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... -with-moat

A moat is essential, indeed.

Three sides of the grounds are bounded by a moat that never runs dry as it is fed by its own natural spring.
