That's why I don't post anymore. If you start with defamation there are limits to how seriously you can be taken.
Free-Boundary Union. What about the silent majority (like me and a few other comrades) who just want to talk about maths and PDE?
1) just make sure you use commas and you'll be just fine! People have been hung for less. You haven’t had the pleasure of being sued for defamation have you?!
So, please also start a white supremacy thread!
Free speech allows opinions, insults, lies, etc. but not threats, harming reputations, etc. So defamation out, facts in. Saying someone went to a neo-Nazi conference is fine, if true. Not if false. If true then drawing conclusions from that is not. There is no such thing as defamation in free speech. Is it free or not free?
Whether what you say is legal or not is a different matter.

Isn't defamation only defamation when it's based on lies, i.e. not based on facts? So if free speech allows lies as you write above, why not "defamation"? I think what you mean with free speech is "free" speech within legal confines, but that is not truly free.Free speech allows opinions, insults, lies, etc. but not threats, harming reputations, etc. So defamation out, facts in. Saying someone went to a neo-Nazi conference is fine, if true. Not if false. If true then drawing conclusions from that is not. There is no such thing as defamation in free speech.
