But - hot off the press - a new reason to celebrate guns tonight! Tulsa - a place with great traditions of right wing white supremacy terrorism. Yay! Go GOP!
Good one -- except it was a black shooter killing a black doctor and others: link

I’m sure there is a point to that. Admittedly, the gun nuts would ideally like to keep the guns out of black hands, but you can’t get everything you want…

... but you can change direction.

It has now been 20 1/2 hours since a mass shooting in America was reported.

In other RRW news: Ginni Thomas, spouse of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, apparently tweeted to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows,
“Biden crime family & ballot fraud co-conspirators (elected officials, bureaucrats, social media censorship mongers, fake stream media reporters, etc) are being arrested & detained for ballot fraud right now & over coming days, & will be living in barges off GITMO to face military tribunals for sedition. I hope this is true.”
I'm pretty sure that being married to someone so deranged would preclude anyone from getting a security clearance from the American federal government, yet Thomas still sits on the highest court in the land.

Huh.

If I may borrow a thought from Greg Abbott, the UK has got to “do better.” The US has maybe four mass shootings every week or two. But it takes decades, decades, for the UK to rustle up four mass killings.

There is probably in fact a causal link here. The US gun nuts are all about their ability to fight off the government when it’s misbehaving (never mind that they have black helicopters and nukes and stuff). Your royalty was in fact the government being fought off, and made the very sensible decision to limit gun access to their subjects.

Not even the cops have guns in the UK! There's nothing to stop a bad guy with a gun!

Conveniently, the bad guys almost never have guns, somehow.

It has now been 17 1/2 hours since a mass shooting in America was reported.

It hardly seems worth raising the US flag to full mast. It will be coming down again before the day is out.

That's no joke: I can't remember the last time I saw an American flag at full mast.

It has now been 38 hours since a mass shooting in America was reported.

Do you think the NRA would accept an ad for “Inexpensive flag poles. Only half height since you’ll never again need to fly Old Glory at full mast.”?

A brief search brought to light that you can buy American flag door mats on Etsy. Just saying…

We can hope that a number (well, six to be precise) Supreme Court justices retire or otherwise become unable to fulfill their duties over the next few days, and can thus be promptly replaced by a clean slate that can start overturning precedent rulings, starting with today’s. Clarence Thomas has already indicated that the right to obtain contraception is next to go. Well and, of course, gay marriage.
