Re: Ukraine war -- the end game?

Back to the subject  https://www.timesofisrael.com/gantz-netanyahu-both-reiterate-israels-unwillingness-to-sell-weapons-to-ukraine/

I love this love-hate triangle: Russia/US/Israel

US unconditionally support Israel and Israel unconditionally supports Russia.
Well, at least Israel may supply their early alert system, which looks useful:
Gantz: Israel may supply Ukraine with rocket and drone alert system, but not weapons
And maybe it can be connected to Musk's Starlink service:
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/15/elon-musk-tweets-on-starlink-well-just-keep-funding-ukraine-govt-for-free.html,
as it will certainly be infrastructure that Russia will target.

In other Ukraine war news:  Moscow: where have all the men gone?

For those men who stayed, navigating the city has become nerve-racking.

“I try to drive everywhere, because they can give out draft summons on the street and next to the metro,” said Alexander Perepelkin, a marketing director and the editor of the Blueprint, a fashion and culture publication.

Re pro-religious atheism:
@Paul,  you're right, it does need a word, doesn't it?
@bearish, Insanity? You could be right, too -- could be a Bicameral mind thing
@Daniel. Dave Allen looks like a good example. Another one is the Henry Drummond character in Inherit the Wind, whom I know you like:

But, then the movie ends on this:

Speaking of the bicameral mind, can't resist posting this great scene:

Atheism is also a religion and atheist's faith is the strongest one of all. We know from mathematics that the proofs of nonexistence are the most difficult ones, don't we?

I wouldn't call it a religion, more of a judgment call -- at least in my case.
BTW, the "pro-religion" part of my bicameral mind is much enjoying Dennis Prager's third installment of his Rational Bible commentary: The Rational Bible: Deuteronomy. Just out and I highly recommend it to believers and non-believers alike. But, if you're interested, it might make more sense to start in order with his Exodus commentary.

I don't agree; atheists don't get tax cuts. AFAIK churches pay no property  taxes.
Proofs of non-existence in maths is easy; just produce a counterexample or use reductio ad absurdum.

No Sir. A counterexample contradicts a nonexistence theorem, just the opposite. I know, it was so long time ago.

You've just proven that atheism is a religion. Atheists could get tax cuts but sacrifice them for their belief. This is the biggest sacrifice of all, a human sacrifice. A holly rite of the atheists.

Give a concrete example.

 contradicts a nonexistence theorem
Bourbaki style ???

No, atheism. Most people are areligious, even those who declare some denomination. Maybe they believe in something but in practice don't care. Atheists in the type of Dawkins or Hitchens care, they strongly believe in something (nonexistence of god or rather gods), they have their rites, saints and even martyrs (Thomas Aikenhead). It's a religion.

Yeah, my son experienced something similiar last Sunday(!!!) in the Bible Belt town of Katwijk.

1 The pastor + politicians tried to ban it.
2. The group was cursed from the pulpit (the metal boys recorded it and replayed it as overture, like Iron Maiden or Super Tramp)
3. Five teenage Christian Dutch reformed girls encircled Junior and tried to convert him. under the watchful eye of their parents.
4. They hired a bus and had a STANDOFF.
5. Two of them blew the shofar (not the chaffeur).. strange because you only  do it at Rosh Hashanah or Yom KIppur.
