Re: What is Sunakism?

December 26th, 2022, 11:31 am

Much has been written about Rishi Sunak’s “meteoric rise” since his elevation as Chancellor of the Exchequer, but what has not been widely reported is how he benefited from the 2008 financial crash that condemned ordinary Britons to a decade of economic deprivation.

A former investment whizz kid, Sunak was part of a group of hedge fund managers who shared nearly £100m after an audacious stock market bet that triggered the financial crisis, according to The Times newspaper.

He was a partner at the hedge fund TCI when it launched a campaign against the Dutch bank ABN Amro forcing its sale to the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) triggering a chain of events leading to the crash. “His role in TCI between 2006-2009 made him a millionaire in his mid-twenties,” the paper said.

It’s not a “try.” It’s rarely wise to comment on people’s colour. You are linking colour and bad behavior. Your thought processes aren’t going to be relevant.

It’s your call.

Bees have been around for over 80 million years. A Conservative Politician hasn’t.

https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/news/gov ... -pesticide

Today, 23 January 2023, the government has announced that for the third year in a row, it will permit the use of the banned pesticide thiamethoxam - a type of neonicotinoid - on sugar beet in England in 2023. A single teaspoon of neonicotinoid is enough to deliver a lethal dose to 1.25 billion bees. This comes just four days after the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) declared that providing emergency derogations for expressly prohibited neonicotinoid-treated seeds is not in line with EU law. Brits gotta express their freedumb somehow, don't they?

At least it's not as stupid as "rolling coal."

Have you ever tried to feed anything to a five-year old on a teaspoon? They get very suspicious. I expect it's even harder with bees, never mind 1.25 billion of them.

I just googled Thiamethoxam. It's "a mixture of cis-trans isomers." That explains it, the EU is a TERF. Doesn't surprise me.

Not just bees, it highly toxic to many insects. But not to bird. They will die of hunger, at least some species.
The only hope in Chinese producing something more lethal than corona.

Thinking out loud ... Manx joins EU.

£4k training project boost's Isle of Man's bees
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-i ... n-46866053

Get jars of golden Manx honey from Lovely Greens. The honey comes from ‘Bluebell’ and ‘Primrose’, Tanya’s two colonies of Isle of Man bees. The honey is raw and and the bees create it using the wildflowers and trees that grow in Laxey.

Sometimes those Laxey bees turn into killer bees. Especially down a mine shaft.

NI Protocol meetings set for Belfast and Brussels amid deal speculation

They have no choice.
Alert: DUP

However, a senior DUP figure has warned that a failure to end the imposition of EU law in Northern Ireland in any new UK/EU deal on post-Brexit trade will ensure Stormont's power-sharing impasse continues.

Nigel Dodds insisted his party would maintain its block on devolution if an agreement falls short of the measures contained within the UK government's own stalled draft legislation to unilaterally rip up the contentious Northern Ireland Protocol.
