Ian Paisley Jr. (DUP, yes, son of the infamous one) publicly said last night on News Night that he will hold fast until the EU blinks. We Europeans don't do blinking.
Maybe he should spend less time on sponsored trips to Sri Lanka and listen more to what people are saying. And get out more.

Paisley's raison d'être is banning Bert and Ernie wedding cakes and keeping other stone-age customs.

The siege mentality is very much in evidence. Been watching too much Tolkien.
