Dutch Elm Disease.

And Dutch Schultz.

What we seem to be concluding is not that the UK should leave the EU but that The Netherlands should leave planet Earth. Because everything bad has its roots there. Controversial. But the logic is inescapable.

I suppose the English never forgave the Dutch for the naval attack on the Medway.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raid_on_the_Medway#The_attack

The English lost that war.

I love the current top headline at the Telegraph: "Boris Johnson could scrap his Brexit deal as John Bercow blocks vote and Remainers plot to wreck it".
As I may have mentioned before, I believe BooHoo (sorry, BoJo) would love to crash out with no deal. The more damage done, the better! It's going to be an interesting week...

I think it's clear now that the majority of the MPs have no intention of facilitating Brexit in any shape or form, and that they - including Bercow - will use any procedural trick to frustrate it, as long as they can pretend that they didn't mean it.

I almost wish they had the courage to simply vote for revoking Article 50 and letting the electorate judge them in an election.
