Getting upto speed for pursuing CQF

March 4th, 2016, 2:40 pm

Hi everyone,I am Quasar, and I hail from Mumbai, India. I am a newbie to Wilmott fora. I want to do CQF(Cert. in Quant Finance) next year, out of interest, play around in Excel VBA/Python. It would be really nice to know, what prep (prerequisites) I should do, so that I can make the most out of this course. I have 7-8 months of time and willing to work diligently. Any inputs would be great help! :) :)Thanks a tonne in advance,Quasar.P.S. I have glanced through Mark Joshi's reading list as well.Math skills - Very decent, having taken linear algebra, calculus, probability & stats courses in my engineering(bachelors) course. General Financial skills - Basic, taking CFA 3.Other trainings - Took a training on market risk and credit risk in my organisation - simulated how FX trading books are run, how market risks are time-bucketed and hedged.
