seasons definitely do have some effect - apparently if you are born in the season mushrooms are sporing (is that a word? h?), you have a greater chance of being allergic to them.

associating personality with starsign strikes me as too convenient.

the non-spherical nature of earth

it's an oblate spheroid.

Why 6 months apart? Try the "Twins Paradox," I believe that's what its called in the astrology circles. Twins have different characters....

We need a histogram for subscribers of Wilmott.com - sun signs vs. frequency. A cusp here: Libra-Scorpio. My girl friend insists that I'm a distilled Scorpio. I insist that have no vindictive streak in me.

Yahoo claims that Libran traders are the best:

"Libra is the super-trader of the zodiac, and an uncommonly large percentage of professional traders and money managers possess natal charts with powerful Libra influences......"

Super Traders

Oh man...all my mom had to do was sneeze or something and I would have been born a super-trader...retired & tinkered with making intelligent toys for kids.

But given that I'm destinedto be a Q.U.A.N.T., perhaps, I should write to Yahoo & ask for a ruling on Quants....

It makes a lot more sense than the existence of a god.

I cant help thinking Paul... what originally created everything? And if indeed there is a god (a bearded old man, or a fatty lazy one) what created him, and the one before him... and the one before...

Any suggestions?

>Why do all threads lead to God?

This question seems self referential.

Neuropsychobiology suggests that the season of your birth influences the chance that you'll have a specific psychiatric problem:

People born in winter and spring have a 10 percent greater chance of being schizophrenic than people born in autumn and summer.
People born in January, February and March show a higher incidence of bipolar disorder and depression than people born the rest of the year.
People born in May have the highest rate of seasonal affective disorder.

Other disorders show less of a pattern. The likelihood of having an eating disorder or an anxiety of disorder is about the same, regardless of your sign of the zodiac
