What is the approximate equivalent range of GPA (in 4.0 scale) for a British Second Class Lower Division degree?

i would say its between 2.8 - 3.2, i have heard of someone calculating it before roughly, but either way, like slick says you will find it tough to get into most schools pretty hard....but if you got good insiders it will always help...

Well, a 2.2 is better than a third class, although I gather grade inflation has emerged as an issue in the UK, as it's been in the US for the last 20 years. But if you do very well on the GMAT and have some interesting "extras" in your CV, you may stand a chance for a US top 20. Otherwise, no.
