No, Leboeuf is not good enough. Plus if Desailly gets injured or gets 2 yellow cards the central defense will look very weak indeed.
Besides all the best offensive players like to play on the left side on the pitch. So with the 4-2-3-1 formation Pires has to play on the right hand side which not very good given that he plays all year on the left hand side with Arsenal.
When you have a very good player - Trezeguet - on the bench and players who are nowhere as good as him - Dugarry Leboeuf - on the pitch, something is wrong with the tactics...
