What's .cfm?

September 24th, 2004, 12:36 pm

When I try to look at an article in the magazine area, I'm asked whether I want open or save a .cfm file instead of a .pdf file. My browser doesn't know what a .cfm file is and I can't open anything. Has there been a change, or is the problem at my end?

Sorry to hear you're having problems.Do you have Adobe Acrobat reader installed? This may cause this to happen. If the reader is installed, can you provide details of the browser and operating system you are using? Some older browsers may have issues, but I am unaware of any other users having difficulty. Is the problem the same for all articles or just certain ones?Try saving the file, despite the .cfm extension, it may still save as a PDF and open with the Acrobat reader.RegardsJames

I'm using Acrobat 6.0 and an overlay to IE6. The overlay is the problem. The file opens fine under IE6 directly. Thanks for the help...
