I think that's exactly the point, in my humble opinion what you study matters more than the name of the institution. It also depends on what you want to do afterwards. If you would like a job where you do regressions of the macroeconomic data, then go fo the LSE. But if you'd like a career in quant/trading/risk management, it certainly gotta be King's. I think the main alternative at LSE would have been the MSc in Risk and Stochastics, however that program seems to be heavily focused on the insurance business.
