Berkeley MFE Admission?

Has anybody received admission decision for the 2005 MFE yet? How long does it take to get either a decline or acceptance? And if they decide to put you on the waiting list, when would they let you know? Does it mean anything if you haven't heard anything for more than a month since they declared your application was received and complete?

When did you send in the application? I got my decision on June 20th (I had sent the application in April end). In my experience (and from what I heard from a couple of others who also applied) they take 6 - 8 weeks after the receipt of your application to make a decision.

I sent the application in around end of Sept. Did you do an interview? Congratulations! Are you going there or another program?

No, I did not go through an interview. Got through in a couple of other places but have decided to attend the Berkeley program. Hope you get your decision soon ! Best of Luck !

I think they place high importance on math background. I don't have a math background, so I am not sure how good my chance is.You must have a pretty good math background to get in without going through an interview. Congrats! Which programs did you take Berkeley over? Is Berkeley still the top or is it Columbia now?
