i was told by a quant that a msc in stats would be better than a msc in qf (i think his reasoning was 'basically 'cos you know your confidence limits')it would be cool to know what everyone else thinks!?!??((i use 'better' meaning 'better in general'))

Also, I would be interested in MSc. Statistics programmes in UK? How would you guys rate the following,1. MPhil in Statistical Science at University of Cambridge2. MSc. in Applied Statistics at University of Oxford3. MSc. in Risk and Stochastics at LSE4. MSc. in Statistics at LSEBTW, presently I'm studying BSc. in Actuarial Science at the LSE and would be applying for Master programmes next year.My another concern is whether I would be suited to a Quant Role with any of the above masters programme, or quant really means having a PhD?Many thanksDT
